High-throughput DBS screening – from initial heel prick to final results

Early detection of metabolic and other inherited and rare disorders can improve the quality of life for at-risk babies and their families. And with the QSight® 210 MD system, we’re enabling expanded high-throughput screening – using just a single heel-prick dried blood spot (DBS) card. The QSight system delivers a unique combination of self-cleaning MS/MS instrumentation that provides exceptional system uptime, a simple three-step method-setup process, and easy-to-use database software that simplifies review and analysis – plus kits and reagents, training, and support.

It all comes together to enable you to screen thousands of samples per day, every day.

What makes the Qsight® 210 MD Screening System so unique?

MSMS workstation software - Clinical mass spectrometry data management software

MSMS Workstation software (IVD) provides a user friendly interface to help lab users store data, set limits, review results and perform QC trend analysis for monitoring of laboratory performance across one or more instruments from a networked PC in the lab. It is perfect for the lab manager who wants to quickly and confidently process hundreds to thousands of results per day, with maximum efficiency, while minimizing transcription or operator errors.

  • Set sample, internal standard, control limits and ratios to automatically flag results

Simple, visual data review via color-coded plate map with the ability to click on a well to review all results
  • Quickly visualize color coded results in a grid view

Review sample results by analyte from a grid or other user definable formats
  • Define, update and review cut-off values used for a given analysis

Ability to define and update cut-off limits based upon user defined sample results or statistics
  • QC trend analysis

The ability to automatically perform QC trend analysis by graphing results vs. limits in Levey-Jennings plots, histograms, and other formats
  • Simplify data interpretation

The ability to group and flag analyte concentrations and ratios by disorder to simplify data interpretation
CONFIDENT RESULTS IN NO TIME

Simplicity™ 3Q MD Software

Simplicity™ 3Q MD software was designed with ease of use and productivity in mind. With a graphical user interface and guided three-step workflow, the software can be up and running – and generating results – right away. It can also automatically capture internal
standard and control values used during a run, eliminating manual transcription errors. Capable of real-time acquisition of thousands of MRMs per run, with results shown in real time, Simplicity 3Q MD software enables you to monitor data acquisition as it occurs, as
well as review results after each run. This makes it easier to check instrument performance prior to leaving it to run overnight, or to access priority results.

Designed to maximize performance and throughput

An exceptional solution for neonatal screening, the QSight 210 MD system makes it easier than ever to achieve consistent, reproducible results across one or multiple instruments, day in and day out, with no need for frequent cleaning or reoptimization – all in a compact, easy-to use form factor.

Higher Sensitivity and Productivity

Unique StayClean™ technology employs hot surface induced solvation (HSID™), and an orthogonal sampling interface to increase uptime. A continuous flow of hot gas is used to de-solvate and guide ions of interest into the instrument to increase signal and reduce chemical noise while forming a barrier that prevents unwanted analytes from dirtying the source.

Higher Performance

Ions are transferred from the HSID™ Interface into the system’s Laminar Flow Ion Guide™ and through to the analyzer by a flow of background gas, without the need for an axial electrical field or the associated field fluctuations, delivering more consistently higher levels of performance with reduced drift or the need for frequent re-optimization.

More analytes per run

With its high energy dynode to attract positive ions, the QSight system’s Unifield Detector™ causes positive ions to collide with the dynode to form electrons that cascade into the detector while negative ions are detected as usual. This provides nearly simultaneous detection of positive and negative ions without the need for high voltage switching. Polarity switching happens in microseconds, limited only by the ion source and path, making it easier to detect a wider range of analytes in a single run.
